Simucal - Mevapi

Simucal and Mevapi are two different applications used to study the physical behaviour of some items. Simucal operates on shoes, analyzing their behaviour under pressure; Mevapi provides similar results but operates on gloves and helmets models. Both applications attempt to provide accurate results, and both of them are built on the XSE framework.

This project consisted on educational content about the sea, aimed for children. A great setup was setup in the largest aquarium of Europe, offering school groups a new learning experience. In a setup of 4 displays with stereoscopic display, children could interact and play with virtual actors in an undersea world. In that context several games were provided to help their learning experience.

Ingeniería emocional

The aim of this research project was to develop new technologies and methodologies in order to improve the quality of experimental product development, and for that purpose the project focuses on furniture products. By letting users move and play in a highly customizable virtual environment, installed in a CAVE system in order to provide a high level of immersion, relevant product information can be retrieved.

Vision

In this project a next generation communication system was developed by the contribution of many partners. The goal was to build a 3D real time conferencing system for multiple users, and giving priority to the presence concept. The project involved tasks such as real time volume reconstruction and mapping, displaying buffers in stereoscopic displays or integrating (reconstructed) users in interactive virtual environment.

Realitat3

Realitat3 is a tool for displaying contents of augmented reality in Lliurex, the Linux distribution of Consellería de Educación (Comunitat Valenciana). The project consisted not only on that tool, but also the different contents built on it. AECC Benissa

Golf Demo

This project consisted on the creation of a virtual golf field. The virtual world was used for showing, visualization and sketching of a real field, before construction. For that purpose several types of navigation were provided: first person and flying navigations.

Eco Train Motor

This system is composed by several software programs that use virtual worlds for motor rehabilitation. The system is able to detect and track patient movement, which is the interaction mode in those worlds. In there, the patient must follow several exercises that in fact are games (since that increases patient motivation). Finally, at the end of the exercises all the relevant information is stored.

A toda vela

On this project a simulator of racing boats (regattas) was built to be used in the Museum Príncipe Felipe (CAC) for a exhibition. The program allows 6 people to play at once, 3 on each team. Every person can control one part of the boat, and if some role is not occupied, an AI agent takes control automatically. An interesting animated camera system, resembling a real regatta TV program, was developed for this project.

tracer library

Tracer is a cross-platform library I developed for helping myself on log and debugging task with C++ programs. The library allows sending messages to a file or to a console (even if there is no console, the library will just open up one). It was built to switch easily between availbale output systems, or to add new ones. In addition, it supports many configurations (multithread control, display of file/function/line of code...).

SGame

SGame is an online strategy game where the action happens in space. The client side is based on flash so players just need a browser to dig in the world. It allows many users to interact in the same world fighting, making alliances, spying or conspirating. If you remember OGame, in here you can find an extended experience in features, graphics and interactivity.

Hero of Allacrost

Hero of Allacrost is a single player 2D role-playing game inspired by classic console RPGs. In Hero of Allacrost, the player will explore rich environments, solve challenging dungeon puzzles, and fight strategic battles in an active-time based system. The game is free open-source software and is available across several platforms including Windows, OS X, Linux, and FreeBSD. The team behind the project consists of people all across the globe who contributes to Allacrost in their spare time.

Mario-clone

This game was made for learning purposes, and is a copy of the DS game 'New Mario Bros'. However, this version is done on PC. There was a special effort not only on functionality, but on every detailed I had time to code: GUI, control of player, camera movement, scene animations... The final result resembles the DS version, even still lacks of some features. Also, the code was refactorized during development and I ended with a 2D engine for platform games.

Animus

Animus is my first project developed for the Nintendo DS console. It is a classical space side-scroller shooter where the player must show his skills avoiding and destroying the enemy waves. DevkitPro library (libnds) was used as the main sdk for this development. I ported a simple 2D engine of my own that was working on PC and then used it for the game.

Mayordomo

Mayordomo is a set of tools aimed to help the emotional and animical state of elder people. I was involved in the developement of one of these tools, consisting in a set of virtual worlds that people could visit in a guided way. A multidisciplinary group of people (therapists, artists and technicians) were involved in the definition, creation and validation of those worlds.
